6th Annual Fall Frolic Brings Weekends of Fun to Anne Springs Close Greenway

Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, Horse Rides and More Offered at Family-Oriented Festival

Celebrate fall every weekend in October with the Fall Frolic on the Anne Springs Close Greenway, featuring a myriad of fall festival fun from horse rides and hay bale mazes to the four-acre corn maze and pumpkin patch. Now in its sixth year, the festival’s most popular activities will be back in action, including wagon rides, farm animals, pedal carts, face painting, kayaking and more.

Fall Frolic on the Greenway runs Saturdays and Sundays, October 3 – November 1. Pricing is $10 per person for Greenway members and $12 for non-members. Seniors (60 and older) are $6 and kids four and under get in free. Groups of 15 or more receive a group rate of $10 per person. Horse rides are available on Saturday 11a.m. – 3p.m. and Sunday 1p.m. – 4p.m. Major credit cards and cash will be accepted at the gate. Food and beverage vendors will also be on hand selling a variety of fall favorites, including barbecue, hotdogs, cotton candy and more.

“Fall Frolic has quickly become a regional destination during the fall festival season and is a favorite among families that visit. Event-goers young and old enjoy new and different experiences each year,” explains Mina MacDonald, Greenway Community Events Coordinator. “Fall Frolic offers a classic family festival experience, surrounded by a unique natural setting that provides an added element of fun and adventure.”

The Fall Frolic is among the Greenway’s signature events, inviting the public to celebrate the season, the outdoors and the greater Charlotte community. Just minutes south of Charlotte, the Greenway is a 2,100-acre natural preserve that offers hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking and more.

Festivities are centered at the Greenway’s Lake Haigler Entrance, 1604 Highway 21 Bypass, Fort Mill. This event is family-friendly and is alcohol and tobacco-free. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on six-foot leashes. For information, please call 803-547-4575 or visit ASCGreenway.org.
