Part time day porter needed for busy recreation complex. Primary duty will be to clean the womens restrooms and locker rooms during business hours. Specific duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing restrooms/locker rooms and trash removal. Ability to operate a variety of equipment is required. Kayak Attendant - ASC Greenway

Part time kayak attendant needed to work rotating Saturdays and Sundays renting kayaks on the Greenway. This is a seasonal position working now through October. Work location will be at the Kayak Shack at the Lake Haigler launch area. Key responsibilities will be greeting the public and assisting with kayak rentals. Must have excellent customer service skills, enjoy working with the public and enjoy working outdoors. Director of Golf - Leroy Springs Golf

Seeking a Director of Golf to manage four golf clubs in the Fort Mill, Lancaster and Chester areas of South Carolina, with main office in Fort Mill, just minutes from Charlotte.  The Director will manage and continually develop all aspects of golf business, providing a clear vision and strategic direction.  Focus is on driving an excellent customer experience by providing superior service and a consistently superior product while serving diverse customer base to include all ages and economic strata (includes development of programs for youth and the underprivileged).  The Director will manage all aspects of membership management, golf course maintenance, tournaments, food and beverage, pro shop and retail, marketing and revenue management.

The Director will coordinate and monitor partnerships for performance and guest satisfaction, to include the Marc Lapointe Golf Academy, First Tee of Charlotte and the Fort Mill/Lancaster/Chester School Districts.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion and commitment to the game of golf.  Must be a leader, team builder and have the ability to coach and mentor staff effectively.  This position requires a proven track record of personal and professional development reflective of Director of Golf role responsibilities.

The Director position requires a Bachelor's degree in PGM Program, parks and recreation administration, business, or other relevant field supplemented by five years of experience as a Golf Manager/Director or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Fit Kids Camp Counselor - Recreation Complex

Seeking a camp counselor to work part time at our Fit Kids Camp during the summer. This camp is located at the Recreation Complex and runs from 8-11am each morning, Monday through Friday, during the summer months. The camp counselor will provide fun, safe activities for the campers each day. Counselor must be active, energetic, creative and flexible. This camp is provided as a service to members of the Complex and gives parents a chance to leave their young children during the hours of 8-11am while they attend class or workout. The Counselor will be expected to plan age appropriate activities to keep the kids engaged and active. Sports equipment will be provided. Teachers - FLYERS Summer Camp 

We need additional staff to work in our FLYERS Summer Camps.  The summer camps are located in four of the Fort Mill School District Elementary schools: Doby's Bridge, Springfield, Pleasant Knoll and Tega Cay. This is a part time position working approximately 20 hours per week.Children in K through 5th grade will attend the summer camp program during the hours of 7am - 6pm Monday through Friday. Afterschool Teachers - FLYERS

Part time Teachers needed to work in our afterschool program. The program is located in each of the elementary schools in the Fort Mill School district. Current need for enthusiastic, creative, nurturing people. The FLYERS program creates a safe space for parents to leave their children after school each day. Homework, crafts, snack, outdoor play and outdoor exploration are all part of the FLYERS afterschool experience. Children in K through 5th grade will engage in activities that encourage creativity, social relationships, appropriate behavior and positive self-image. Teachers must enjoy working with elementary age children.  Must be able to follow lesson plans and assist with activities. Prior experience working with children is a plus. Assistant Camp Director - Adventure Seekers Camp

The Adventure Seekers program is a nature adventure based day camp and includes kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and other outdoor activities on the Anne Springs Close Greenway.  The Assistant Camp Director will be expected to fully engage in all aspects of the camp program.  This position will take place May – August and will assist the Camp Director in the oversight of daily operations of the summer camp program.  Essential duties will include administration, programming, discipline, and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks; work well under pressure
  • Previous camp experience; outdoor camp experience preferred
  • Leadership experience
  • Above average interpersonal skills with strong written/oral communication skills and an ability to work with a diverse population.

Mountain Bike Leader - Adventure Seekers Camp

Experienced Mountain Biker needed to lead the biking program for Adventure Seekers summer camp on the ASC Greenway. The program leader must have experience with mountain biking, be able to teach and understand and assess skill level and have knowledge of general bike maintenance.  The leader will teach participants riding skills and proper technique to ride safely and confident, as well as the technical aspects of trail riding. Camp Counselors - Adventure Seekers Camp

The Adventure Seekers program is a nature adventure based summer day camp which includes a variety of outdoor activities on the Anne Springs Close Greenway at our Adventure Center.  We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Camp Counselor positions.  Candidates must love the outdoors and have experience in the following:

  • Kayaking
  • Mountain biking
  • Low Ropes Course
  • Archery
  • Hiking

The following skills/previous experience are required for this position:

  • Previous experience in a camp setting with ages 7 thru 14
  • Ability to encourage leadership, creativity, and interpersonal relationships
  • Assist/actively participate in guiding activities for the campers
  • Be a positive role model and lead by example
  • CPR/First Aid Certification a plus

Camp dates will run Monday to Friday – late May through mid-August. There will be a mandatory training session in May prior to the start of camp.  Counselors must be 18 years of age to apply. Click here to apply.
