Fort Mill Golf Club

Fort Mill Golf Club is an 18 hole championship golf course that rolls through tree lined fairways. The club was founded in 1948 with the front nine designed by the legendary Donald Ross. George Cobb designed the back nine which opened in 1959.

In 2008, the entire facility was renovated by rebuilding the greens and making the conversion from bent grass to the heat tolerant MiniVerde bermuda grass. All tees and bunkers were reconstructed and the clubhouse received an impressive facelift. The renovation was supervised by Hilton Head architect, Clyde Johnston, who is a member of the Donald Ross Society and former president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects.  He relied on the original 1947 Ross drawings to update the front nine. The back nine, originally designed by George Cobb, was also renovated.

Located 20 minutes south of downtown Charlotte, the 6801 yard layout features 4 sets of tees to offer an enjoyable golf experience for golfers of all skill levels. The property includes dining and banquet facilities, a fully stocked golf shop, driving range and practice areas.
