Ranger - ASC Greenway
Part time opening for two Rangers. Primary responsibilities will be greeting guests, communicating information, ensuring the safety of guests, monitoring and checking facilities, closing and locking gates. Rangers will also assess hiking, biking and equestrian trails and reporting findings. Must be able to work well with the public and display outstanding customer service. Hours and days will vary; each Ranger will be expected to work 25-28 hours per week. Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays. Prior security or law enforcement experience is a plus.
Maintenance Tech - ASC Greenway
This is a full time position with a generous benefit package. The ideal candidate must be an independent worker and have a strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, maintenance and repair work is required. Performs general farm and grounds keeping work that may include cutting grass, clearing land, installing/maintaining landscaping materials and planting and harvesting hay. Ideal candidate will have heavy equipment operating skills; trade skills are a plus. The tech will also serve in the on call rotation schedule. Outstanding customer service skills are required as this position will have contact with the public for special events. This person will also work with special events helping with set up and other activities for Earth Day, BBQ and Bluegrass, and Fall Frolic.
Day Porter (Housekeeping) - Recreation Complex
Part time day porter needed for busy Recreation Complex. Primary responsibility would be to clean the ladies restrooms and locker rooms during business hours. Specific duties will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing restrooms/locker rooms and trash removal. Ability to operate a variety of equipment is required. Hours of work are Monday through Friday 1 pm to 5 pm.
Environmental Educator - ASC Greenway
Seeking a part-time Environmental Educator to inspire and inform students of all ages about the wonders of the natural world, particularly the environment of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. Must have a love for the outdoors, working with the public and knowledge of the natural and cultural history of the Fort Mill, SC area. The Environmental Educator will facilitate recreation and education programs on and off the Greenway and lead hikes throughout the Greenway. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience with children and adults in formal and informal settings. The Environmental Educator will facilitate existing field programs to the public and design, develop and produce new programs. Flexible availability is a must including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays. Requirements: 1-3 year experience; Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
Lifeguards - ASC Greenway
Certified lifeguards needed to work pool at the Recreation Complex on the Greenway. Current lifeguard certification is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
FLYERS - ASC Greenway
FLYERS After School Program will be opening two new sites this fall. Positions are available for Teacher Assistants and a Site Coordinator. The FLYERS program creates a safe place for working parents to leave their children. Homework, crafts, centers, snack and outdoor play are all a part of the FLYERS after school experience. Supplementary programs are also provided that focus on sports, character building and environmental stewardship. Children in our program will engage in activities that enrich the after school experience and encourage creativity, social relationships, appropriate behavior and a positive self-image.
Teacher Assistant needed for the beginning of the school year. Interviews will begin mid July to fill the fall positions. Teacher Assistants must be available Monday thru Friday from 2pm until 6pm. Prior experience working with children from Kindergarten through 5th grade is desirable. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
